Nursing Team

Our practice has two fully qualified practice nurses, Diana and Lucy and a Health Care Assistant, Jackie.

Practice nurses

Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with issues such as contraception, healthy living advice, cytology, blood pressure checks and dressings.  They also check patient's heart with an ECG and lungs by Spirometry when required by the doctors.

The practice nurses run clinics for long-term conditions such as asthma, diabetes, stroke, heart and kidney disease.  They undertake all of our vaccinations including our annual flu clinics that are run on a Saturday morning.

We currently have 2 practice nurses, they are:

Diana Morris

Diana has been a practice nurse since 2002. She is an experienced nurse and is proficient in all of our services mentioned above. She is also a nurse prescriber and has previously worked for Accident and Emergency services in London.

Lucy Peates

Lucy joined the practice in 2015 after working with the district nurses. She is currently training to become proficient in practice nursing.

Healthcare Assistants

Jackie Meek

Jackie is an accredited healthcare assistant and takes many of the samples for blood testing.  She has increased her scope to initiate disease monitoring and prevention and is our lead on smoking cessation management and NHS health checks.
